Lifeguard Training

Train to become a professional Lifeguard at the YMCA of Norwalk! Successful candidates will receive certification in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR for the professional rescuer & AED administration. You must be 15 years old to enroll. Register today for one of the programs listed below.

Fee: $300 for Members & $400 for Non-Members

Gold Line

Pre-Swim Training for Tri-Athletes or Swimmers

Starting January 6, 2009 and running until February 26, 2009

This class is designed to give Tri-Athletes that have a problem swimming, a head start. Stroke will be analyzed for better performance. Class meets 2 days a week.

8:00pm-9:00pm Tuesday
8:00pm-9:00pm Thursday

Fee: $160 for Members & $200 for Non-Members

 

Gold Line

Pre-Swim Team

This class is for kids that may be interested in competive swimming or fitness swimming. Class meets 2 days a week. Child must be able to swim at the Minnow level or higher in order to enroll. Minimum of 4 students needed for this program to run.

4:45pm-5:30pm Tuesday & Thursday

Fee: $110 for Members & $220 for Non-Members

Triathlon Training: Winter Training for Triathletes

Class is designed to train in the water, spinning and running during the winter months. Monday – Friday.

Session 1: March 2nd – April 24th

Session 2: April 27 – June 22, 2009

Open Water Diver

Our basic Scuba course trains students to plan and undertake entry level recreational Scuba dive.

Next Generation Diving

The Next Generation Diving Program offers an exceptional opportunity to train with three of the best-educated coaches in the region.
